Garment Quality Control and AQL Inspection
Quality control must define checkpoints, defect classes and acceptance rules.
What brands need to know
Quality begins with approved material and construction, not only final inspection. Incoming fabric checks can identify shade, width and surface defects. Inline inspection finds recurring sewing problems before the full quantity is completed. Final inspection reviews workmanship, measurements, appearance, labelling, packing and quantity. AQL is a statistical sampling framework, not a promise of zero defects. Inspection level, critical, major and minor defect definitions, and the response to failure should be agreed before production.
